Hart Senior Center serves as the heart of operations for Older Adult Services. A

Access to Benefits Coalition
Need help paying for your Medicare prescription drug costs? Apply now for the Extra
Help available through the Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage for people with limited
incomes and resources. If you qualify, you can join a Medicare drug plan, and Medicare
will pay 85 to 100 percent of your prescription drug costs. The Access to Benefits
Coalition can help you learn about and enroll in this important coverage.
California Department of Aging (CDA)
The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults,
adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long‑term care
facilities throughout the State. The Department contracts with the network of Area
Agencies on Aging, who directly manage a wide array of federal and state‑funded
services that help older adults find employment; support older and disabled individuals
to live as independently as possible in the community; promote healthy aging and
community involvement; and assist family members in their vital care giving role.
California Department of Veterans Affairs
The Division of Veterans Services is responsible for administering a number of special
programs, benefits and services for California veterans and their families. A significant
portion of the mission of the California Department of Veterans Affairs is “to
provide the state's aged or disabled veterans with rehabilitative, residential,
and medical care and services in a home‑like environment at the California
Veterans Homes.”
California Unemployment & Disability

The Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) is the oldest and largest organization
in the United States representing those who offer meal services to people in need.
Since 1976, MOWAA has worked to arm local senior nutrition programs with the resources,

The National Parkinson Foundation
The National Parkinson Foundation is connected with over 900 active groups throughout
the United States. Since its inception in 1994 the support group network has grown
enormously. People receive support from different types of groups, such as: educational/informational
groups that often have guest speakers; discussion groups where participants share
their concerns, questions and receive support; and exercise/relaxation groups for
the person with Parkinson's and/or their caregiver. Some are general exercise
groups while others offer specific modalities like tai‑chi, yoga, meditation,
etc.
